Tim Weinhart, PGA Director of Instruction

Tim was born in Rochester, NY and moved to Atlanta in 1981. He turned professional at 19 and became one of the youngest PGA members in the country to earn the PGA’s highest ranking of Class “A” at the age of 23. Tim has been one of the top teachers in Georgia for over 20 years. He is a member of the professional advisory staff with TaylorMade Golf Corporation and has appeared on The Golf Channel, PGA .Com., and been a guest  on numerous television and radio programs. From 2011 thru 2015, Tim ran the Tim Weinhart Golf Academy at The Standard Club.  In October 2015, the Tim Weinhart Golf Academy moved to Heritage Golf Links on the outskirts of Atlanta.

Tim's playing achievements include competing in 6 major championships. He is one of the nation’s few club professionals to have qualified for the US Open (2012), the PGA Championship 5 times (2002-05-06-08-09), and qualify for the Web.com Tour in 2007. Tim has qualified for the National Club Professional Championships 16 times and has qualified and competed in 34 PGA Tour Sponsored events during his career

Tim currently works with players of all skill levels from beginners to professionals. Tim’s students have won on almost every level; including: AJGA, SEJGT, Hurricane junior golf tours as well as wins on various mini tours including Open Golf Atlanta and the Hopkins Golf tour.

Don Butzin, PGA Instructor

Don’s passion for the game of golf launched a career that spans over 50 years. Throughout his career he has acquired extensive playing experience, served as a head golf professional and has become a distinguished teaching professional.  His teaching philosophy and insight into the game has allowed juniors, recreational golfers, and aspiring professionals to accomplish their goals and beyond. Since 2003, Don Butzin has been instructing students in the Woodmont Junior Golf program with which he has been actively involved in the design and implementation. He has excitedly taught over 6,900 hours of game-improving lessons to adults and juniors alike.


Robert Stark, PGA Golf Professional

Robert assumed the position of Golf Professional in August 2015. Robert has worked in the golf industry for more than 25 years. He is relatively new to Georgia, having lived his entire life in Minnesota. Robert previously worked at the Hastings Country Club in Minnesota, which hosted the 2009 Minnesota State Open Championship as well as the 2012 Minnesota Amateur Championship, so he is no stranger to providing top notch quality events. Robert brings experience in all aspects of the golf operation with his five years as Head Golf Professional and three years as a Director of Golf. He attended college in Minnesota, acquiring his degree in Finance while pursuing a career as a PGA Golf Professional. Most of his professional career has revolved around running the day to day operations of the golf course.
